Really? Blog Spamming Now?

So I announce I'm having a baby girl and in the comment section I get a total stranger begging me to go click on his blog to help pay his tuition. Really?? Has it come to this? I don't really appreciate getting crappy spam on my blog. In fact, it really annoys me. You guys think I should go private again?

    I got the same message probably from the same guy. I just deleted it but it is annoying.

    It's just random spam, ignore it. No need to go private. Blogger actually weeds out most of those comments automatically, that one must have just snuck through.

    You can change your blog comments settings to be more secure, as well as make your blog unsearchable through google and other search engines. On my blog you have to type in the security letters for it to post a comment. I have NEVER had a spam message with the settings my blog is on now.
