Confession

We had tamales and plantains for supper, which were not very good. In fact, they bordered on gross. We were still hungry and so I made cookies to fill the void. So we pretty much had cookies for supper tonight. I can't even justify it by saying they had some nutritious ingredients like oatmeal raisin. Nope. You want to try them? They're really, really yummy . . .

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
3/4 c. oil
3/4 c. cocoa

2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 t. vanilla
½ t. salt
2 c. flour
2 t. baking powder
1 c. powdered sugar

Mix oil, cocoa, and sugar. Blend in 1 egg at a time until well mixed. Add vanilla. Stir in salt, flour, and baking powder. Put in the refrigerator until well chilled. Drop teaspoons of dough into the powdered sugar. Roll around until shaped into a ball and well coated. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350. Makes 50 cookies.

  1. what made you think they would be good. They sound gross and I guess it's good that there is no picture. Your poor starving children. Thank goodness for cookies. P.s. my sound is cutting out on conference. Is yours. I am missing the hymns.
